Fun Things To Do in San Antonio For Fiesta

Viva Fiesta San Antonio! Our favorite time of year to celebrate Texas Independence. It’s only celebrated in the Alamo city once a year with unique food, music, dance, arts and crafts, and parades.  San Antonio brings out it’s beautiful and bright Fiesta colors to life! Here’s our list of favorite Fiesta activities.

Tower of the Americas

Check out the views of the city at the top of the Tower of the Americas.  With panoramic views as far as the eye can see, you are bound to witness some of the Fiesta events from up here.  Enjoying eating inside the restaurant at the top and taking in the beautiful San Antonio landscape or have fun at Hemisphere Park, which is located at the base of the tower.

The Alamo

If you’re going to the Riverwalk, then you might as well stop by the Alamo, which is only a few minute’s walk away.  See one of the most famous landmarks from the Texas Revolution and one of the reasons why we celebrate Fiesta.

San Antonio Riverwalk

This is the heart of the action during Fiesta.  Come here to celebrate Niosa in La Villita, see he Riverboat Parade, and go shopping and dining at the Rivercenter Mall and surrounding area.

Mi Tierra/Mi Familia

This is one of the most well-known family-owned restaurants in San Antonio.  Famous for their beautifully decorated interior of vibrant papeles, piñatas, and their panaderia full of baked goods like pan dulces, conchas, sweet empanadas, cuernos, and puerquitos or marranitos. (Look at their menu for examples).  This restaurant now has two locations, Mi Tierra in downtown, and Mi Familia in the Rim.

We hope this article helps you find the perfect activities to celebrate and have fun during this special time of year in San Antonio!
